The new History syllabus traces the evolution of the contemporary world order (1870s – 1991). To understand the world today, we need to know the past. The revised syllabus combines concepts, content and thinking skills.
Unit 1 it is European Dominance and Expansion in the late 19th century
Study of Malaya (compulsory) plus either Indonesia and Vietname
Unit 2: The World in Crisis
Unit 3: Bi-polarity and the Cold War
Unit 4: Decolonisation and Emergence of Nation States
Study of Malaya (SBQ) and either case study of Vietnam or Indonesia
